Anodea Judith is a dynamic individual who brings a background of many talents to her work. Priestess, healer, teacher, visual artist, musician, songwriter, poet and author of fiction, non-fiction, and drama, she incorporates creativity to her healing and teaching and inspiration to those who work with her. She is a former president of the oldest incorporated Neo-Pagan organization, Church of All Worlds; founder of Lifeways, a school for the study of healing and magickal arts; founding member of Forever Forests; and practicing therapist, educator, writer, and mother. Her journey has been long and unconventional, fearlessly challenging all assumptions at each step along the path, at last marrying the new age to the old with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at Rosebridge Graduate School of Integrative Therapy.

Beginning in the early 70's with a background in psychology at Clark University, Ms. Judith left the conventional work of Freud to study art on the West Coast, where she painted environmental murals for a number of years. Realizing that health and consciousness are vital ingredients to the quality of one's artistic expression, she began a serious study of yoga and mediation. In 1975, she got her first inspiration for the well-known book, Wheels of Life: A User's Guide to the Chakra System, which now has some 50,000 copies in the U.S. and Europe. The ten year process of writing the book led her through the study of yoga, acupressure, bioenergetics, and gestalt, radical psychiatry, shamanism, ritual magic, psychic reading and healing. Four years of this time she lived in the wilderness, engaging in magical training, vision quest, meditation and the continuing development of the Church of All Worlds wilderness sanctuary Annwfn in Northern California. Dealing with clients over a 15-year period gave her the understanding of how the chakras work through our lives--their implications in healing, diagnoses and cultural transformation.

Her new book The Sevenfold Journey, written with Selene Vega is a self-help workbook, compiled from many years of teaching the popular Nine Month Chakra Intensive.

Anodea Judith feels deeply concerned about the state of our world in terms of ecology, ethics, politics, and religion. Feeling that transformation occurs on both an individual and cultural level, Ms. Judith supports a path to empowerment and balance through the teaching of life-affirming paths of wisdom. This is achieved through a reclamation of our bodies and minds, the environment, and our connection to the ancient powers of Heaven and Earth.
